wow..time to update this thing!!

Okay....so lots have happend the past 2 months since I last posted. Here are some pictures so I don't have to write too much about my wild ride. These are in no particular order:

Saydie got to play catcher in her last game of the season. She LOVED it even though she barely 'caught' any of the pitches. But hey, she did stop the ball!!! She has the bruises to prove it! She is so proud of herself for not crying when she would get hit with a ball. All the other boys who played that position would leave the field bawling their heads off if they got hit!

I took all three of the girls to the Great Wolf Lodge and Six Flags one weekend in April. We had SO much fun!!!

Brittany and I on the Swings at Six Flags.

I got to go back to Harding for Spring Sing 2009....this is my old balcony off of my doorm's hallway.

The greatest friend in the WORLD took me flying over downtown Detroit on Memorial Day.

I got to go to my first Tiger's game with my sister and nephew. We had a GREAT time!!!!

My sister and I went shopping for bride maid's dresses and this is the one that won. Don't you just love it?!

I got to spend time with my nephew, Jack over the Memorial Day weekend. I miss him SO much!!

Another school year came and went.....where is the time going?!?!!?!

Saying Goodbye....Again

These are some of the last pictures we were able to take together before he had to go back to Iraq...and, before my battery died. :(
George infront of the plane.

He really does love me....

See??

Everyone needs a little goofy-ness in their life!

Our last picture together before he left me again.

Time with my Husband

As all of you know by now, George and I got to spend some quality time together recently. I thought I would share some pictures of us together at last!
George and me in front of the Joe's Crab Shack sign inside the playground.

Us in the water tunnel at the Dallas Aquarium.

Us in front of Six Flags. This was the best time I've ever had at that place!

We're about to get on the Batman ride.

I'm finally getting to wear my ring!! George had it sized to fit me again. Size 10 to a size 7 1/2 baby!!! Yeah!!!

I'm all about this divorce!

I read the following in an email sent to me. Since I do not forward emails or 'pass' along emails to '10 or more' people...I thought I would put it on my blog. It was too good to not 'pass' on.
~Cherrie

Excellent!!!

Best solution I've seen in a long time!! DIVORCE AGREEMENT THIS IS SO INCREDIBLY WELL PUT AND I CAN HARDLY BELIEVE IT'S BY A YOUNG PERSON, A STUDENT!!! WHATEVER HE RUNS FOR, I'LL VOTE FOR HIM.

OUTSTANDING.

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al:

We have stuck together since the late 1950's, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a model separation agreement:

Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.

We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU. Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell (You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them).

We'll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street. You can have your beloved homeless, homeboys, hippies and illegal aliens. We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO's and rednecks. We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood.

You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us. You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security.

We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values.. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N.. but we will no longer be paying the bill.

We'll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.

You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors. We'll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right. We'll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem. I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute Imagine, I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing, Kum Ba Ya or We Are the World.

We'll practice trickle down economics and you can give trickle up poverty your best shot. Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag.

Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like minded liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, I'll bet you ANWAR which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.

Sincerely, John J. Wall Law Student and an American

P.S. Also, please take Barbara Streisand & Jane Fonda with you!!!!

4th Anniversary

I just have to say that I have some of the greatest friends I could ever ask for. I have the privilege of being involved in a care group from church that is just absolutely amazing. The people who make up the care group are among some of the top people in this world!! I say all of this because well....first it's true, and second because I got to "share" my anniversary with all of them last night.

Since George and I have been married, we have not gotten the opportunity to spend a single anniversary together. So, last year I came up with an idea to celebrate my anniversary with all my friends. I thought, instead of being bummed, I'm going to make the best of it. I did the same thing again this year. I went to Wal-Mart, bought a cake, had them decorate it and took it to our small group to share with everyone! All the girls were nice enough to let me borrow their husbands so that I could take a picture with them. All of them are wonderful examples of what a husband should be....and not too bad to look at either! HAHA!!

Thank you all for making my anniversary something special to me!!!

Dr. Phil

After my niece's softball game one night last year, we all went out to eat at Cracker Barrell. Hardly anyone was there because it was so late at night. The whole family was sitting at the table when these guys all walk in. One of them looked really familiar, but I couldn't place the name. It wasn't until he opened his mouth to talk that we all knew instantly that it was Dr. Phil! We all started looking at each other and whispering under our breath..."oh wow! Look! It's Dr. Phil!!" All of us who had a phone immediately took it out and started texting everyone in our phone books saying that we were at Cracker Barrell and Dr. Phil was there too!!

By this time is was 10pm and no one else was eating except our table and of course his table. Mom thought it would be a hoot if she was to pay for his meal....so she did! She asked the waitress to give her his check, and only his check, and she bought his supper!!

Mason, my nephew, wanted to get his autograph so his dad encouraged him to go ask the 'bald' guy if he could have his autograph. Well, there were two bald guys at the table and wouldn't you know he went to the wrong guy! HAHA!! But, Dr. Phil was very gracious and said to Mason, "I think you want mine instead of his, son". So Dr. Phil signed the paper Mason handed him and then stood up and shook everyone's hands, made a little small talk, and then was nice enough to take a picture with us. Luckily, Morgan had her camera there.... she had to go buy batteries in the store for it, but we had a camera!! Mom wanted his signature too, so I took the receipt of his meal to him and asked him to sign the back of it. He did!!

Let me tell ya....he looks WAY better in person than he does on TV! He was TALL, very tall and lean. He looked really good! I was really impressed at the way he was with the kiddos and even us adults.

I guess it was just a great night to go out to eat with the family!
